Our story

For over 100 years in Rentzville, our Grandparents produced cotton, tobacco, sugarcane, peas, corn, and other assorted vegetables, strawberries, plums, blackberries, cantaloupes, peanuts, and pecans. They also raised cows, chickens, turkeys, pigs and goats.
Our Grandparents slaughtered and butchered their own cows, chickens, and hogs. They milked their cows for milk and butter; they made their own syrup and, for extra income, they sold syrup. From the slaughtered hogs, they made their own Hog Head Cheese and made cracklings from the hog skin. The Rentzville Farmlands also have their own Fishpond in one family member’s backyard.

The farmland has been passed down to the children and is now being farmed by the fifth generation of the Rentz McGuire family. We are currently continuing the family tradition of harvesting hay and raising cattle, pigs, and goats. In 2023, the Rentz McGuire Family decided to embark on a Corn Maze in Rentzville. Experience the ultimate family fun at The RentzMcGuire CornMaze! Enjoy a wide range of activities perfect for all ages, including Children’s Corn Boxes, Swings, Thrilling Zip Lines, A Charming Petting Farm, an Exciting Slingshot Game, and so much more. Bring your family and create unforgettable memories together!

Please come out to celebrate our grand opening in September 2024!!
